Reporting Diseases

Program components include:
- Case Investigation – Gather specific details of a possible source, symptoms, contacts, and course of illness
- Resource Reference – Facilitate access to community resources
- Surveillance – Systematically collect and analyze data pertaining to specific diseases and syndromic surveillance
- Education – Provide health/disease information, resources to healthcare professionals, and the public
- Case Management – Provided for active tuberculosis patients
Disease Reporting Information
Health care and laboratory providers are required to report conditions of public health importance to the Florida Department of Heath.
