The Florida Department of Health in Clay County submits water samples to the state laboratory for bacteriological testing on the second Thursday of each month.
Regular testing is an important part of maintaining a safe water supply as it helps identify potential contamination early.
Annual bacteriological testing is recommended for private well owners to ensure their drinking water is free from harmful bacteria. Analysis can show the absence or presence of total coliforms and E. Coli.
